DELIVERY SHIPPING TYPES – GENERAL LOGIC

Delivery note screens are the same in general structure. Header fields, line entries, tabs, and total calculation fields work in common across all delivery note types.
The different part is that the system automatically changes the document type and operating logic according to the selected delivery note type.
General Usage Logic:
1.When the delivery note type is selected, “Delivery Note Type Information (Invoice Type)” field is automatically filled
2.According to the selected type:
- Direction of stock movement (issue / return)
- Transaction scenario (retail, wholesale, consignment, etc.)
- Process flow (order → delivery note → invoice)
Automatically determined by the system
3.The user does not make any manual changes on the screen, he just needs to select the correct delivery note type
Sample Delivery Note Types:
- Consignment Goods Delivery Note: The goods are sent to the customer, but an invoice is not issued before the sale is made
- Pre-Sales Delivery Note: Used for sales that have been ordered but are still in the delivery process
- Retail Sales Delivery Note: Used in fast sales transactions to the end user
- Retail Sales (Return) Delivery Note: Used in case of product return after retail sales
- Wholesale Delivery Note: Used in bulk sales to dealers or companies
- Wholesale (Return) Delivery Note: Used in case of returning wholesale sales
Important Note:
The screen remains the same for all delivery note types, only the processing logic running in the background changes
Therefore, choosing the right delivery note type is critical for correct stock and accounting records
